Abstract:
A pair of documents in which Pedro Porter narrates one same travel to the Gulf of California are studied from a philological and philosophical perspective. In one, he justifies his explorations to the authorities; and in the other, written as a novel, he exalts himself as an epic character. The study textually valuates the borders and links between history and fiction.
