Youth in Sports and in Physical Culture: Dialogues, Journeys, and Challenges represents a collective effort from multiple viewpoints on the participation of youth on one of the fields in which they have developed for centuries, such as physical culture and sports. A product of the Seminar on Youth Studies in Latin America in the 2019 version, this book is made up of seven chapters divided into three parts. In the first part, the professionalization of sports practice is analyzed from a gender perspective and from a perspective of practice experience at an amateur level; in the second part, the collective identities of sports fans are deeply considered, all the way from the “chanting”, up to “the die-hard stadium supporters” and, finally, in the third section, the analysis of physical capabilities, training, as well as the perceptions of success as sports principles. We, the coordinators of this literary work, hope you enjoy reading it and that you can read all our works, in the next volumes, related to “something that we are quite accustomed to”, such as the International Seminars about Studies on Latin American Youth.
