E-book - Man, time and space in land reform

This e-book has been edited from the printed version. The main principles which guided this book were an understanding of human beings as the main actors within land reform and a belief in such reform for the benefit of humanity, combining food on the table with work and dignity. It addresses the following topics: land reform: a political issue in historical context; family farming, land reform and development; space, territory, and frontier: the meaning and interpretation of maps; an example methodology to evaluate socioeconomic and cultural features of a settlement project; history and records of memories of settlement residents.
