PhD from the University of Nottingham. Currently works as a legal advisor in the International Law team of the Department of Environment and Rural Affairs in the United Kingdom and sits on the Implementation and Compliance Committee for the Basel Convention. Her role covers the Aarhus Convention, Basel Convention. Stockholm Convention and Rotterdam Convention. This article is based on the PhD research of the author which was funded in part by the Treaty law Centre at the University of Nottingham.
