Camilo Andrés Acevedo Gerena

Is currently an adjunct professor at Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC). He works at the Instituto Internacional de Idiomas, Sogamoso campus. He holds a Master’s in Education from UPTC, and has completed a program in Accent Reduction for Non-Native English Speakers at Stanford University in the US. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages (Spanish-English) from UPTC. His work focuses on the social imaginary of the English language and its relationship with the training process of higher education students. His interests include linguistics imperialism, language history, and language policy.
